Even the spiders are gleeful

Wow, I must confess I was over joyed to be hosting the October  2011 DMBLGIT; October is the month the Holiday season begins it’s running start. From Pinktober to New Year’s Eve it is a world-wind ride of joyous and gratitude towards our fellow mankind, in this case our fellow bloggers. It is an honor to introduce a group of talent bloggers, photographers, and writers who are willing to take time during this month of October 2011 to judge the DMBLGIT Event.  Sydney and I are not only excited, but  pleased to introduce you to the Octobers DMBLGIT judges.

Kristen Doyle

Kristen Doyle is a freelance writer, food photographer and the author behind the award winning blog, Dine & Dish (www.dineanddish.net). Nestled in Kansas City with 4 kids and her husband, Kristen’s writing career has spanned writing for both traditional media outlets such as newspapers and magazines as well as online resources including blogs and websites. Specializing in social media, culinary and women’s interest writing, and food photography,  Kristen’s ultimate goal is to bring families back to the table at dinner with recipes that both tempt the tastebuds and spark wonderful conversation.

 

 

 

Bron Marshall

Bron Marshall is the writer and photographer behind http://bronmarshall.com.She works as freelance photographer and stylist specialising in food. Bron’s career in food started as a trained chef working in restaurants throughout the South Island of New Zealand where she resides with her husband and 2 homeschooled girls. Bron loves using local and seasonal ingredients, however while most of the blogging world is in Autumn, downunder in New Zealand it is Spring!

 

Ilva Beretta

Ilva Beretta, Swedish by birth, has been living on a Tuscan hill in Italy for close to 20 years. She works as a freelance photographer specializing in food photography and food styling. Ilva also writes the internationally acclaimed blog Lucullian Delights which has been nominated for several food blog awards and is one of the Times Online’s Top 50 Food Blogs in the world and recently on Saveur’s Favorite Global Food Blogs. She is also part of the team behind the Plate To Page Food Photography & Writing Workshops.

 

Shannon Imlay

Shannon Imaly, of Shannon’s Shanonigins, is a certified Floral Designer and Party Planner. Shannon believes when you entertain, that people should feel, relaxed, loved, and be very well fed. She loves cooking, and have a passion for anything vintage. Shannon has two great kids (young adults) and several fur-babies. She has a beautiful son with autism, and a daughter who is in college, they are such a blessing to her, and by far, her best work!

 

Jeanne Horak

Jeanne Horak-Druiff is a born-and-bred South African who has been living permanently in London since 2002.  Her internationally recognised blog CookSister! was has appeared on the Times Online‘s list of top 50 food blogs in the world and Saveur’s 55 top global food blogs list.  She is also a four-time winner of the Best South African Food Blog category in the South African Blog Awards.  Her writing has been published in National Geographic’s 500 Food Journeys and 500 Secret Journeys, and Foodies of the World, as well as various magazines.  She is also a regular speaker at blogging, writing and photography workshops and conferences in Europe and South Africa.  Her blog grew out of a weekly newsletter home to friends and family but now encompasses her three obsessions:  food, travel and photography.
